Belinda Wadeson gained extensive experience in a variety of engineering industries prior to commencing her career as a patent and trade marks attorney. She has worked in the public and private sectors; in the water, power generation, bulk material handling and construction industries. As a Director of the Monash University Commercialisation and Intellectual Property Advisory Committee Belinda also has experience in the academic sector and is a regular guest lecturer presenting on intellectual property.

Belinda delivers a powerful combination of real world engineering experience with expert patent, design and trade marks skills. Using her ability to see the commercial big picture, Belinda adds value by providing practical commercially focused advice in support of all levels of business operations – from a high level strategic review of an organisation's practices, to the tactical business level, through to the fine legal detail of specific cases.

Belinda builds strong relationships with her clients to understand what drives their business, and what really matters to them. This has led to her strong track record of high quality, practical and commercially relevant advice.

Belinda's clients are from a wide range of industries and operate in export markets all over the world. Belinda is experienced in filing and prosecution strategies across many countries.

Ben Mott Associate

With more than five years experience as a design engineer with a local manufacturer, Ben is familiar with a wide variety of manufacturing processes. Ben also has international experience with a major manufacturer of large scale gas turbines. Ben’s strengths include practical engineering skills ranging from a strong mechanical aptitude to a pragmatic commercial focus.

Ben practised in patent and design law for more than five years with a national firm of patent and trade marks attorneys prior to joining WADESON. During this time Ben worked as a patent attorney across a wide range of technologies including oil and gas equipment, medical devices, food handling, pumps, fans and simple domestic items.

Ben excels at working with businesses new to the patent and registered design systems to cost effectively build a commercially effective patent and design position.
